Update: Postponement of New VAT Chain and Bank Account Numbers
- 🕒 Implementation Delayed: The planned launch of the new VAT payment chain on 1 October 2025 has been postponed. This strategic delay allows professionals and the administration more time to prepare and test the system thoroughly.
- 💳 Continue Using Existing Account: Until further notice, all periodic VAT payments must still be made to the current bank account: BE22 6792 0030 0047 Payments made to the new account numbers will be refunded or reallocated depending on the type of debt.
- 🧾 Sector Support & Transition Planning: The Ministry of Finance, in collaboration with ITAA, is working on a realistic timeline to ensure a smooth transition. The delay also helps the sector focus on the rollout of electronic invoicing, another major reform.
