KEYNOTE 1: Peter De Keyzer
Economist 📊, entrepreneur 💼 and opinion maker ✍️. Founder and Managing Partner of Growth Inc. Author of Growth Makes You Happy and co-author of Belgium 2040.
Radical ambition for more growth and prosperity 🚀🔥
Europe and Belgium are at a historic turning point. The old certainties of geopolitical stability, cheap energy and free protection are gone for good. Rising public debt, ageing populations, war and trade conflicts are putting our prosperity under severe pressure ⚠️.
At the same time, the rapid rise of AI and global power shifts are redrawing the economic rules of the game at high speed ⚡.
If Flanders, Belgium and Europe want to grow again, reinvent themselves and win again, there is no shortcut. We do not need more subsidies, more rules, or more distrust of those who take risks and create value.
What we do need are free markets that actually work. Innovation that is rewarded rather than feared or treated with suspicion from the outset.
Individual entrepreneurship that is given the space to fail — and to succeed.
Above all, we need optimism, a can-do mentality, and a fundamentally hopeful belief in the future.
That is not a side conversation for in-house tax. Tax sits at the intersection of competitiveness, investment, risk-taking and the rules that either reward value creation — or slow it down. Peter’s keynote will set the wider frame for the discussions that follow.
KEYNOTE 2: Peter Hoogland
He is a behavioural expert, strategist and founder of Brainwolves. He founded Topradio and JIMtv and has served as CEO of Kursaal Oostende. His experience in media, business leadership, transformation and video production fuels his divergent crosswire thinking. He connects psychology, neuroscience, creativity and AI to
help executive teams and entrepreneurs see things differently and make informed decisions.
“Everyone is building. No one is deciding.”
On AI, behaviour and why strategy dies in the corridor.
AI is on every boardroom agenda. Strategies are approved. Investments are made. Yet many organizations struggle to turn ambition into lasting change.
In this keynote, Peter Hoogland challenges the gap between strategy and execution. He will explore how AI is reshaping behaviour, workflows, organizational design, leadership, and decision-making. More importantly, he will address the critical questions leaders need to answer:
✅ Who will do what work?
✅ Who gets to decide?
✅ What should we build, adapt, postpone, or stop?
✅ Why do so many transformation initiatives stall before they create value?
You’ll discover where plans get stuck and gain a practical framework for deciding what to build, adapt, postpone or stop.
